In our second installment of our baker appreciation blog posts, we would love to introduce you to the talent Barbara Vida, owner and head baker of Sweet Visions Vegan Bakery. Barbara was born and raised in Cleveland and has witnessed the city’s evolution into the place we know and love today. She first developed her passion for baking from her mother, a fantastic baker who made everything from scratch. Through these lessons, baking quickly became second nature to Barbara and she would go on to cultivate that culinary talent into her future career.
Barbara started her business 6 years ago when she was still employed during which she also attended a Pastry and Bakery Arts classes to learn new and exciting baking techniques of which she tremendously enjoyed learning. She had a vision to start her business and that’s where the name Sweet Vision’s Vegan Bakery came about. She says there was a need for an exceptional homemade vegan bakery which did not compromise on the taste and that’s where she came in. She took some of her mom’s finest recipes and through trial and error came up with some truly amazing products. She has succeeded in supplying her customers with the finest Blondies, Brookies, Buckeye brookies, Cupcakes, Date & Apricot Oatmeal Bars and more. Her Scones are on top of that list and she frequently sells out at all the farmer’s markets she attends.
She just recently bought a small truck which she uses to make her beloved vegan scones and cookie bars. This has helped her attend more events such as the Cleveland Vegfest, as well as other pop ups. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank Barbara for working with us and hope to share her delicious vegan & Gluten-Free treats to many happy customers for years to come! We hope you enjoyed this month's article on our latest featured baker and we're excited to announce that we will be launching in the CSU & CWRU Campus for the Fall 2019 Semester.
